Train Your Menopause (TYM) was founded by Olivia Ratcliffe after watching her mum and many patients go through the perimenopause and menopause with no real support; no clear information, no proactive care, just a system that waits until something breaks before it intervenes.

TYM was built to close that gap. The menopause doesn't just affect hormones and the menstrual cycle. Falling oestrogen also drives changes in musculoskeletal, cardiac and metabolic health, and left unaddressed, these changes lead to long-term health issues including osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. Olivia's mission is to empower women approaching and navigating the perimenopause and menopause to understand their changing bodies, build strength, and protect their long-term health through expert, physiotherapy-led, prevention-focused care.

Olivia has a background in corporate preventive health testing, delivering employee health assessments designed to catch problems early. Through that work, she saw firsthand how much the menopause affects employees and how little most workplaces are set up to help.

She's also completing a PhD researching the impact of the menopause on musculoskeletal health, so the clinical model behind TYM stays grounded in current evidence.

Next Steps and Train Your Menopause have partnered to deliver clinical and organisational expertise so that employers, managers and HR have what they need to properly support women approaching and navigating the menopause.
